EUSS (EU Settlement Scheme) Services at Burney Legal

Overview

The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) provides EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens with the opportunity to secure their residency status in the UK following Brexit. At Burney Legal, we offer expert guidance and legal assistance to help individuals and families navigate the complexities of the EUSS application process. Our experienced immigration solicitors are committed to ensuring that you receive the support you need to secure your rights in the UK.

The EU Settlement Scheme allows EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals and their family members to apply for either settled or pre-settled status in the UK. The scheme is designed to provide individuals with the opportunity to continue living, working, and studying in the UK post-Brexit, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.

  • Settled Status is available to those who have lived in the UK for at least five continuous years.
  • Pre-settled Status is available to those who have lived in the UK for less than five years, allowing them to apply for settled status once they reach the five-year mark.

Our EUSS Services Include:

  • Initial Consultation and Eligibility Assessment
We offer a comprehensive consultation to assess your eligibility for the EUSS. Our solicitors will review your residency status and help determine whether you qualify for settled or pre-settled status.

  • Full Application Support

  • Family Member Applications
If you are applying on behalf of a family member, we can guide you through the process of including them in your EUSS application, ensuring all necessary evidence is provided.

  • Addressing Complex Issues
In cases where there are complications, such as criminal convictions or gaps in residency, we provide tailored legal advice to address these issues and enhance your chances of a successful application.

  • Status Reviews and Appeals
If your application is refused or you face complications, we can assist you with reviewing the decision or filing an appeal, ensuring that your rights are protected.

Yes, if you have lived in the UK for less than five years, you may be eligible for pre-settled status. After reaching five years of continuous residence, you can apply for settled status.

There was deadline for applications, but exceptions may apply for those who have reasonable grounds for missing the deadline. We can assist in determining if your application can still be accepted.

While the application process can be completed online, many individuals choose to seek legal advice to ensure their application is complete and accurate, particularly if there are any complexities.
